2019:

House of Ferment at the V & Museum until Oct 20 2019

Just a short while is left to catch the wondrous House of Ferment in its latest showing, my collaboration with Grizedale Arts. Originally commissioned by Science Gallery London (shout out to Rebecca Heald) this piece has been all around the world (nearly), gathering scobies, mothers, grandmas' pickles and much more besides. I've had a lot of brilliant people working on the project, including Kasia Garapich, Niamh Riordan and Francesca Ulivi (pictured here with me at Preston's Harris Museum in 2016).
At the V & A it's sadly a little 'un-live' with only a few jars of sealed ferments allowed to penetrate the hallowed space, but it's part of a nevertheless inspiring food and eating extravaganza blockbuster show, FOOD: Bigger Than the Plate, at London's Victoria & Albert Museum.

The curators May Rosenthal and Catherine Flood have been a joy, and we have all managed to keep a straight face in some very long H & S meetings about exploding pickle risk assessments.

Tickets and information here. Closes Oct 20th.

A nice sideshoot of the project was meeting the brilliant Itamar Srulovich & Sarit Packer and being recorded for their Honey & Co podcast, on a panel with some very interesting people I'd have liked to spend a lot more time with, Michael Rakowitz & Jasleen Kaur.
