Safe Bet was my project for the Olay Vision Award for Women
Artists. Through this work I encouraged the 'audience' or 'public'
to take bets on the competition winner.
Safe Bet was presented, with the other artists projects, at the LUX
gallery (London) in the form of a video installation looking at
each of the artists' 'form' as they produced their work and
prepared for the show, these screens were mixed with teletext
information on the latest odds.
Safe Bet also extended outside the gallery environment, onto the
website and into Ladbrokes bookmakers across the country, where you
could go to place your bets.
