Nina Pope
produced, conceived, performed and wrote the D.I.Y (gardening) programme and web site. She is not by trade a professional gardener but a keen enthusiast - she practices as an independant artist and lives in London.
This programme would not have been possible if she had not received the generous help and support of the following people:
Calum Stirling
helped with the filming of Cathy Boland's garden and the landscaping at Frobisher place, as well as throwing around ideas for the programme concept. He is an independant artist and lives in Glasgow.
John Hunter
helped with the filming and planting of the garden at Frobisher place, and filming of Jenny Geoffrey's garden, he is an independant artist and lives in Edinburgh.
Lizzie Hobbs
provided some of the plants for the garden at Frobisher place, from her garden in Edinburgh, were she lives and practices as an artist.
Tim Olden
provided his normal high level of support, by composing the sound track for the programme and advising on video editing. Tim is a practising artist who lives and works in London.
Karen Guthrie
is a practising artist who lives and works in London, infact she lives in the house where the London section of the programme was filmed and brought on many of the plants you saw at the start of the programme - she also assisted with the filming of this section.
Philip Jones
was kind enough to allow us to use his London garden for the trial filming for the programme (thanks also to Martin Smith for camera work). Phil is a Geophysist who works for the British Antarctic Survey.
Thanks are also due to:
Rachel Mimiec, Karen Vaughan and Mhairi Sutherland of Not in Kansas.
Joe Bromitch from the Churchill Estate.
The children from the Churchill Estate who helped with the planting.
Norrie Duncan, Derek Duncan and David Thomson (Timmy) - landscaping team.
Jenny Geoffrey & Cathy Boland for showing us their gardens.
Tony O'Connor of Dobbies Garden Center Ardencaple - plant supplier.
Albar Landscapes - turf supplier.
M & T - sand supplier.
