The Track(#88Rn)
The footpath runs off into the distance, straight across flat fields. All you can hear is the noise of the wind making waves across the crops and the birds singing overhead.
Obvious exits:
North West (NW) leads to Church Lane.
South East (SE) leads to The New Development.

Technical Guidance:
If you would like to look around the Island you can log in using various software 'clients': For Mac users, there are fewer than for PC's, but the easiest thing is to use Telnet which many people already have (if not click here to download it.) Try this link to see if it will launch telnet directly -
island.pennmush.org:4206 If not, connect by typing this into the top box you get when you go to the file menu and let go on 'open connection' ...
You should then get a window up almost straight away that says island.pennmush.org:4206 at the top and then gives you instructions regarding how to log in ...

**********************************************************************
Use create (name) (password) to create a character.
Use connect (name) (password) to connect to your existing character.
Use connect Visitor or Tourist to connect to a guest character.
Use QUIT to logout.
Use the WHO command to see who is currently on the Island.
**********************************************************************
In other words if you want to just look round you type connect Visitor then hit return OR if you want an actual character you type 'create', then a space, then your name, then a space, then your password and hit return. If you get the window up but nothing appears when you type - go to preferences and check to see that local echo is checked on - this is a very common problem on PC's.

If you have down loaded MacMUSH (or a similar PC Client) and got it open you need to go to file and let go on new - you then get three fields to fill in:
MUSH name - put Island
Host address - put island.pennmush.org
port - put 4206

You then get a new window that says Island at the top - now go to the connection menu and let go on connect ...this gives you instructions (above) regarding how to log in ... In other words if you want to just look round you type connect Visitor in the bottom panel and then hit return OR if you want an actual character you type create then a space then your name then a space then your password (all in the bottom panel) and hit return ...
