The Poet's Tale - Roy Cleary travelled to Arras in France to visit the grave of Edward Thomas - a first world war poet. Roy works as an artist and in his prologue he explains the great affinity he feels for Thomas, and the motivation behind his journey.
On the day Roy recited a poem by Eleanor
Fairjeon (written for Thomas' daughter) at the grave and later, as part of his tale, read
extracts from the Poet's last diary entries and the Poem Adelstrop.
