The Scientist's Tale Phil Jones' pilgrimage was to Bognor Regis, a place that had obsessed him since the 1970's. "As a child I thought by the year 2000 that not only would I be married with two kids, but that we would be saving up for a holiday on Venus.an excerpt from Blast-off to Bognor, Phil's personal homage to the space race On the day itself, Phil unfortunately delivered his illustrated Tale to an empty hall despite a prior promotion in Bognor's local paper. However, an appreciative remote crowd in Borough Market listened closely to this intriguing and funny story of a scientist's quest.
