The Environmental Manager's Tale - Ian Buckland travelled to the Earth Centre in Doncaster - founded by former members of Friends of the Earth, and a contentious Millennium / Lottery project. On the day he succeeded in sending back images from the site and delivering his tale from a train - sadly we weren't as organised at our end, the tale came through really well but the images were lost in transit! Happily they have since been recovered. A pilgrimage need not only be a journey into the here and now. In my case, I want to use the transition from history into the future of the Earth Centreís site to reflect on my own changing attitudes to and interaction with the environment. |
