/broadcast/
(29 pilgrims, 29 tales)
Welcome to /broadcast/ (29 pilgrims, 29 tales) which was 1999's Tate Bankside Annual Event by Nina Pope & Karen Guthrie.

For the Event we chose 29 pilgrims with whom to collaborate, and on September 11th we broadcast their tales live in Borough Market (Southwark, London) as well as webcasting them from this site onto the net.
The site is now a record of the day's events, containing all the pilgrims' tales and prologues. The order of the day (see left) provides a link to each pilgrim's home page, with details of the journeys they made to their chosen destinations within the project's 24 hour period.

If you would like to read more about the /broadcast/ project, you can look at our original proposal, or our interview with journalist Sarah Wedderburn. If you would like to get a feel for how the actual Event looked you can watch some of the Real Media clips from the day.

To watch any of the video archive you will need to make sure you have Real Player installed on your computer: You can download this from here.

A video archive record of this project is available via the Tate Modern collection.
